"I started my career with Pierce County in 1992 and have been with the Department of Emergency Management since 1993. My background is in adult education. I have served as a representative to the County's Safety Committee. In 2002, I earned a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University with certification in Human Resources. Being part of a process that provides life-altering changes is exciting and positively rewarding."

"Hi, I came on board this past November (2002) and can't be more excited to be here. Before making the move to Pierce County Emergency Management, I worked for the Federal Way School District as an office manager in an elementary school. During this time I was part of the district's disaster preparedness committee as well as the coordinator for my own school's emergency response program. I am also a CPR/First Aid instructor and teach advanced first aid through the Tacoma Mountaineers. I have a BS in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Florida."

"As Crime Prevention Coordinator for the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, it was only natural I would assume responsibility for the Neighborhood Action Team (NAT), the Homeland Security/Crime Prevention component of PC-NET. My background is in crime prevention outreach and training. For the last two years I have written crime prevention related grants, worked with families living in low income multi-housing units, and have been involved with many communities and community organizations in Pierce County - all working toward reducing crime in our community and to increasing our homeland security."
